First Day of First Grade

Oh my, how I never thought I would be one of those moms who said " it seems like just yesterday..." So very hard to believe Maddie is officially in the first grade! Got a little emotional when she got onto the bus...later, decided that I could definitely get used to the idea of downsizing to two for the day! She is growing to be quite the little lady, with BIG ideas and a GIGANTIC imagination....she is our entertainment, and we are looking forward to how much she will grow and change this year.

9 Year Anniversary

WOW...It is amazing how 9 years can come and go so fast.....we went to Hershey Park (minus 3 little ones:)). We had a great time beating ourselves up on these gigantic roller coasters (they really were as insane as they look) eating ice cream, water sliding and playing on this huge pirate ship that squirts water at you from every angle, we both felt like kids again...my neck and back will never be the same, but what better way to remember #9!

Now and then....so fun to look back to where we began, and see how much we have both grown...
Few of many lessons learned:
* friendship in a marriage is so important
* to serve each other unselfishly
* appreciate, and show gratitude
* freely forgive
* to not expect perfection, or demand it
* to enjoy being where you are today,
and most importantly the realization that and-they-lived happily-ever-after, is sadly disillusioned , and that marriage is an every day, and every way relationship which is built on trust, humility, understanding, faith and most importantly unconditional love.....looking forward to 9 more....

Happy Birthday Jackson!!!

Our cute little monkey is one!! That completely went way too fast! It was fun to think back to when he was first born....8 lbs. 4 oz. 20 1/2 inches, and how much hair he had, still has....He is the best baby. Kinda too quiet at times, we usually have to search for him, because he just does his own thing, very quietly. He is developing his own little personality, and look, which is very different than the other two. He knows where his nose, eyes, ears and hair are...and can say momma, dadda, bubye, hello, more, and when we get really lucky and listen closely thank you. He is very close to walking...not rushing. Loved, loved his birthday cake, and would have finished the entire thing had we let him...probably because it had bananas in it. And of course what kid doesn't like the wrapping paper more than the gift?? We all love this little guy and look forward to all his new tricks this upcoming year!
