A Busy Month

It's that time of year, where life is...crazy, for lack of a better word. Between dance recitals, t-ball games, girl scout bridging, and end-of-the-year award ceremonies, I'd say we are pretty stoked for a summer vacation with much enfaces on the "nothing to do for awhile part"
We had the best visit with our favorite Karen. It went entirely to fast, but we loved every minute. We spent a day in NYC and enjoyed the big city life. There is much to see and do, with a ton of walking. The best was Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, very cool, and completely worth it. The kids enjoyed seeing a familiar face, and thought she might stay if they begged enough :)....Thanks for the fun visit, we are ready for another one!

The cutest little T-ball star...it was the best watching him run in the batting helmet :), and how his tongue sticks out when he goes in for a catch...He is convinced he is ready to play for the Phillies, but will settle for the Cubs :).

....and the best part-having three great kids who love you regardless of all your imperfections, who freely forgive, who help you understand that it is okay to make a mistake, and who teach you to not sweat the small stuff, but to enjoy each and every minute. Hope you all had a happy one!

Happy Easter!!!

YEA!!! A new post, and not so bad, Easter was only 2 weeks ago....we took a trip to Virginia and had a great visit with Uncle Larry, Aunt Edna, and all the cousins. There are always so many kids, a ton of food (and garbage), creativity when finding a place to sit, always someone to talk to, and a lot of fun. We love going to visit, and are so grateful to have some family close. Our kids get a bit overwhelmed, but then they whine when we have to leave :). The weather was so nice (a whopping 78 degrees). We stopped in York on the way back home to say goodbye to my cousin and her family, before they left for Arizona (we will miss you guys)!! Deciding to do the Easter Bunny after we got back was not thought out the best, especially with a 7-year old that is getting too smart. The kids knew there baskets were at home...filled....somewhere. However....the intelligent parents forgot to put them out before we left....the only option, without spilling the bad news was the back porch. Luckily Dave distracted while I ran them around. Thrilled and very excited about all of their little treasures, the Easter Bunny is praised once again-whew! (we are sure she will have it figured out next year). There goes that bribe.....
